NeuroMethod Integration

NeuroMethod Tutoring practices the total integration of all parts of a student’s learning and developmental experience into a cohesive whole.  A common problem with traditional tutoring is that a tutor may provide instruction that is in conflict with the approach of the student’s teacher.  This is a counter-productive experience for all involved.  To remedy this issue, NeuroMethod works very closely with students’ teachers and school to align our approach with theirs.  Sometimes this involves the coaching of teachers to help them understand their students’  unique needs; other times this can include creating customized curriculum of our tutoring that is based on the students’ existing school curricula—this also serves an additional purpose of using and building on top of their homework, rather than creating additional, separate work.  Many students in the Bay Area suffer from too much homework and overly booked schedules, and we don’t want to exacerbate this problem.
In addition to working closely with schools and teachers, we also integrate our approach with parents, therapists, psychologists, doctors or any other caregiver or professional who works closely with these children.  For parents, we provide specific instructions of how to help students translate what they are learning in our office to the home environment.  For therapists or other professionals, our collaboration with them often helps both the therapy and the tutoring to achieve high-quality results more quickly.  By bringing together all components of  students’ education, NeuroMethod Tutoring provides a cohesive, consistent program for children, with all pieces working together seamlessly.
